Barely able to contain his excitement to reporters, 35-year-old local aspiring screenwriter Josh Lay believes his film idea about an aspiring screenwriter is going to be the next Hollywood box-office smash hit.

“I was sitting here at Starbucks staring at the ceiling for about 2 hours when it just hit me: An idea for a movie about someone trying to write a movie. That’s surely never been done before,” said Lay, who added that the idea has potential to be even more meta than it already is.

“What if the movie was about a screenwriter writing a movie about a screenwriter writing a movie? I just blew your mind, didn’t I?”

To celebrate a successful day of sitting alone and thinking hard, Lay ordered himself an Iced Frappuccino before deciding to head home early and sleep-in tomorrow until 1:00 p.m. instead of 12:30.
